“Mos Maiorum”, the EU-wide police operation to hunt irregular immigrants kicked off on 13th October and will continue until 26th October 2014.

Ushahidi tries to document actions that are part of “Mos Maiorum” and share its effects with all.

All the users are encouraged to contribute information to help document police checkpoints or identity where police officers are checking documents throughout the EU.

For instance, the site reports that today there were ongoing checks at Santa Maria Novella’s Railway station in Florence, Italy.

It is also reported that two police teams were doing identity checks at Duisburg Hauptbahnhof, Germany. The contributor of the information says that “nearly everyone who isn’t white was checked.”

Another user reported that this morning there were police officers on board Intercity train from Milan to Naples in Italy.
