German Police Liaison Officers in Nairobi held a training course from 2 to 6 March in Nairobi on crime scene investigation.

The first part of the program focused on the concrete conduct of crime scene investigation itself. During the second part of the module, the objective was to train the trainers on how to teach crime scene investigation. The far-sighted training the trainers approach will allow the respective police forces from Kenya and other East African countries to further disseminate methods of crime scene investigation.

The German Police Liaison Officers will continue to support Kenya’s Police Force by providing recommendations for the training of criminal investigation departments. Thus, Germany intends to build a long-term partnership for the modernization of police training.
