The five are Tim Kipchumba, Lucy Radoli, Victoria Mwirichia, Simon Wanda and Simon Ndirangu.

They are among the 50 global finalists given an opportunity to engage with leading public figures in the UK and share their personal vision on how to address global challenges with a public audience.

They will discuss major global policy issues in the Houses of Parliament, engage with inspiring leaders, visit some of the UK’s leading global institutions and collaborate to produce innovative policy recommendations.

“The initiative is part of the British Council’s commitment to better life for future generation through sound global policies,” said Tony Reilly, Country Director, British Council.

The programme which targets youth aged between 18 and 35 years at the entry and mid-level career saw over 2,200 Kenyans apply.

Aimed at cultivating a pool of future thought leaders by developing their skills in leadership and policy making, the programme will also uplift participants’ career profiles and professional skills.
